The Making of Indigenous Culture: Neoliberal Multiculturalism and Ethnogovernmentality in Post-Dictatorship Chile
Quadrant: Global Cultures
Professor Boccara examines the interrelationships of indigenous peoples in Chile, the Chilean government, NGOs, and other multinational organizations, offering a critical look at governmentality as another form of state violence. In the process, he addresses environmental and other pressing concerns. This project is the culmination of a seven-year study in Chile and Argentina.
