Laura Mauldin received her PhD in sociology at the City University of New York and is currently a visiting assistant professor of science, technology and society at Rochester Institute of Technology. She specializes in the study of health/illness, disability, and science/technology. She is primarily interested in the social and political life of medical technologies.
